Hi, I’m Kate.
Welcome to a little about me
β€”

I’ve been immersed in fitness, wellness, and movement since I was 13, first as an athlete, then as a studio owner, coach, and mentor. My parallel career in design has influenced how I see the world: thoughtfully, creatively, and with intention. Together, these paths have allowed me to support people in navigating their health, refining performance, and building sustainable habits in a way that feels both grounded and human.

Your Biography Is Your Biology

I’ve always believed that our personal stories, how we live, what we carry, and what we’ve experienced shape our physical health.

My own health journey has reinforced this belief. I’ve navigated digestive, immune, and hormonal challenges, alongside chronic pain from injuries, and overwhelming grief following unexpected loss. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how stress, inflammation, and emotional load are reflected in the body.

Rather than defining me, these chapters became teachers. They shaped the way I listen, the way I work, and the way I support others, with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique story and biology.

Following My True North

Wellbeing has always guided my path. While my formal education began in design, my commitment to health led me to explore sports science, group fitness, and the Bikram Yoga Method.

In 2008, I opened my first Bikram Yoga studio in Christchurch, where I spent over a decade supporting clients through movement, breath, and mind–body connection. A later health scare with myocarditis marked a turning point, prompting a deeper exploration into integrative and functional approaches to health and performance.

This transition felt like a natural progression, driven by a desire to understand how nutrition, stress, inflammation, and lifestyle intersect to influence long-term wellbeing. My studies revealed the intricate links between gut health, nutrient status, immune function, hormonal balance, and emotional resilience, connections that now sit at the core of my work.

Taking a Deep Dive

Experiencing the limitations of conventional models of care led me to expand my training. I became a Certified Integrative Nutritionist through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and a qualified Nutrition Coach, Health & Lifestyle Coach and Sports Nutritionist. I am currently completing my final year of supervised clinical mentoring toward becoming an Accredited and Registered Clinical Nutritionist and Complementary Medical Practitioner in Australasia through the Holistic Performance Institute in New Zealand.

My work bridges evidence-based nutrition science with person-centred care, helping clients understand their bodies more deeply, recognise patterns, and apply practical strategies that support lasting change.

Today, as an Integrative and Performance Nutritionist, Health Coach, and Yoga Teacher, I guide clients using an inside-out approach that honours both science and lived experience.
