An Integrative Approach to Clinical Nutrition

AREAS I SUPPORT

Health is influenced by many interconnected factors. Whether you're looking to support your health through a new stage of life, optimise your performance or navigate a complex health condition or ongoing symptoms that require deeper understanding and support, recognising how your body's systems influence one another is often where meaningful change begins.

As a Clinical Nutritionist working from Christchurch and online throughout New Zealand, I take an integrative approach that starts with understanding the person behind the symptoms or goals. Your health history, lifestyle, experiences, how you respond to different foods and, where appropriate, insights from laboratory testing all provide valuable insight into what your body needs. From there, we create personalised nutrition and lifestyle strategies designed to support your healthiest you, wherever you are in your journey.

HOW I THINK ABOUT YOUR HEALTH

Your body does not work in isolation. Gut health, nutrient status, hormones, immune function, the nervous system and lifestyle are constantly influencing one another. This means not only paying closer attention to nutrition, movement, mindset, sleep and stress, but also the quality of these foundations and the way they shape how you feel.

By bringing together your story, symptoms, health history and clinical insights, we can begin to recognise patterns across multiple systems, and gain a clearer picture of your health.

From there, my role is to collaborate with you, helping translate those insights into informed choices that fit your life today, while adapting your approach as your health, goals and circumstances change.

Why this clinical work is personal

WHY I WORK THIS WAY

For as long as I can remember, I have been a student of health, movement and wellbeing, fascinated by the human body and dedicated to understanding what helps us feel, move and live well. But my own health journey taught me something I could never have learnt from a textbook: that even when we care deeply for our bodies, health is not something we can completely control, but something we continually learn to understand, support and nurture.

Those experiences changed the way I see health. They deepened my respect for the body’s resilience, the importance of listening to its whispers, and the value of creating an approach that supports people to better understand their body, honour their changing needs and make informed choices through the seasons of life.

Because your healthiest you won't look like mine, and it won't look like anyone else's.
